My father gave me a STRENGTH key for Christmas. I was so touched by this gift as I had recently lost my job and was feeling little to no strength. The key was not only a lovely and very cute gift but it it meant so much more to me.
I wore it often and would beam when someone asked me where I got it and I would say "My dad gave it to me!" Fast forward 5 months later - I have a new job and I am in a much better place emotionally and physically. My aunt however, was not in a good place.
She was coming to town to escape her verbally/mentally abusive husband and decide how she wants to proceed in her marriage. I could see the pain in her eyes and the hope in her heart. All she needed was STRENGTH.
The day before she left town I gave her my key and we both burst into tears. She had never heard of The Giving Keys before. I told her that I got my strength and it was time to pass it on to her! The Giving Keys are more than just necklaces; they are the words they represent.
