When Not If

In November 2015  at age seventeen I was at an Irish Dance Competition. My mom was fixing my hair for the competition and found a lump on my neck. She was alarmed by it, but didn't mention anything until I finished dancing. We were out of state in Philadelphia, and I would go see my own doctor when we got home.

It turned out to be Hodgkins Lymphoma.

I started treatment/chemo at Montefiore December 2015 and am scheduled for my last cycle tomorrow. When my repeat PET Scan is negative next week I will be officially done with treatment. I say when not if!

I believe, and my family believes too, that I have two special angels in Heaven - my brother Billy and my Grandma Tag, who will make sure I'm okay again.

A very close family friend who helped us when my brother died are helping us again. She gave me this key to wear and then pass along to someone else who needs it.

I'll end by saying I can't wait to get back to my Irish Dancing on a full-schedule to hopefully become a World Qualifier for 2016 in Ireland. I can't wait for my hair to grow back! And I look forward to going to College in September to become a Pediatric Nurse. I feel I'll be able to understand a lot of what they may go through and hopefully be of help to them. And one day pass along my Key to someone that needs it as much as I did.
