Receiving Strength Every Day

My name is Bella. My best friend, Caroline, who had osteosarcoma (a rare bone cancer), had a necklace with the word STRENGTH on it.

Last year around August 3rd or 4th, she was at my house and took off the necklace so she could swim. After she left, I saw that she had forgotten it. I gave it to my mom to give to Caroline's mom next time she saw her.

She forgot about the necklace and on January 9th, 2015, Caroline passed away.

I was so hurt. I kept asking for a sign to know that she was there with me. A couple days later, my mom found the necklace and told Caroline's mom about it. Her mom told me to keep it, because she knew Caroline would want me to have it.

I wear it every day, because it gives me hope that Caroline is with me, and I need to be strong.
