A Smile Bigger than Dallas

In the summer of 2015 I traveled to Dallas with friends, and while visiting the JFK Memorial site I happened upon The Giving Keys in the gift store. This was the first time I had ever heard of them and I immediately knew I wanted a key that I would be able to pass on when the right time presented itself. After much thought I decided upon the BELIEVE key.

I wore it almost daily for a few months watching obediently for the person who needed my key more than I did, and I almost gave it away a couple times but always felt the time wasn't quite right.

Then in the fall of 2015 a childhood friend of mine (who I had recently connected with on Facebook) was diagnosed with breast cancer. I've watched as this sweet woman (with a smile bigger than Dallas) has dealt with this diagnosis with an unbelievably positive attitude and more grace then I could have ever imagined.

So today I'm dropping my BELIEVE key in the mail to her. My hope is that in some way this physical reminder will help her keep the faith as she continues to walk her journey through this disease.
