In 2012, I lost my 23-year-old daughter to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a genetic heart disorder that I, and several other family members share. In 2014, my in-laws came for a visit and never left because of illness and a cancer diagnosis, making me an immediate caregiver. This was something I was not prepared for, but through faith and taking it one day at a time, I persevered. Little did I know that through my heart break and sacrifice, I was inspiring others to believe they could be, and do, so much more than they thought they could! I received my key for Christmas from a sweet friend in 2015.
I am now passing my INSPIRE key on to a friend who went through a heart transplant last year. Through her illness and miraculous recovery, she has INSPIRED so many people to have faith and believe! She is a true inspiration!
