We're on a mission to help those affected by homelessness.

In March of 2013, The Giving Keys began partnering with Chrysalis to help find more employees who were looking for a second chance. Chrysalis is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment. Since then, we have hired several people through Chrysalis Enterprises and celebrated bell-ringing ceremonies to welcome their employment program participants onto our full-time staff!

LIFT is an organization aligned with The Giving Keys in our shared understanding that the causes of poverty are uniquely personal, and the solutions should be as well. At LIFT, Members and Advocates build a relationship that is rooted in dignity and respect. They partner to make progress on the Member’s goals and work to strengthen the Member’s connections to social services, supportive relationships, and the local community. That’s why we provide PTO for our employees to become Members at LIFT LA, so they can work to establish the personal, social and financial foundations required to achieve stability.

Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) and The Giving Keys are united in our advocacy for housing first as the key to an individual’s successful transition out of homelessness and onto the path to success. Permanent supportive housing is comfortable, safe, and affordable housing without time limits. It links residents to wraparound, on-site services like health care, education, job readiness, and community-building activities. Together, we employ women overcoming homelessness, and DWC continues to provide them support throughout the process.
