I was given a Giving Keys Faith bracelet at the baptism of my beautiful Goddaughter, Penelope, with the instructions to pass it on when the time was right. There have been a couple of times where I thought I might pass it on, but didn't.
Then a terrible tragedy happened in my city. A 3 year old boy was accidentally struck by a vehicle in a church parking lot and died, leaving behind his loving parents and three devoted brothers. As I read about this family in newspaper articles and in their son's obituary, I knew it was time to pass the bracelet on.
I am sending it to the entire family, with the hope that it will help them deal with their loss. Perhaps someday they will be ready to pass it on.
