Believing in Myself

December 22, 2013 was my 21st birthday, and I received a necklace with the word "BELIEVE" engraved in it from my older cousin.

Over these past few months I have been applying and interviewing for a career position with the LA County Sheriff's Department and I was constantly doubting myself and not believing in myself. I went to my interview (first interview in my life) and felt like I did horribly. A week later I received a letter in the mail letting me know I was successful in that part of the process with the score of 100% out of 110%. Three days after I received that letter, I got a call for a second interview with the LASD Crime Lab! I am currently waiting to hear back, and with this necklace I will not lose faith!

I am fortunate enough to have received this key to always remind me to BELIEVE in my dreams and goals and never give up. I will hold on tight to this key, with the hopes of someday passing it on to someone who needs it more than myself.
