One of my dearest friends gave me my "Faith" key for my 50th b-day. She made sure to tell me the story about passing it on, knowing that would give it special meaning for me. I asked her if this was a testament to my spiritual faith, or meant to encourage me to have faith in myself. She just smiled and said, "Whatever you would like it to mean."
Just a few weeks later I had coffee with another friend who was embarking on a new career, one which involved following his life-long dream of becoming a writer. While he has had some early success, he still struggles to feel all the pieces coming together.
We talked a lot about faith and spirituality. He said, "You are one of the few people I can talk to about this." I passed my faith key along to him, to remind him to always believe in himself and have faith!
