I bought my Key with the word Courage, to help me through my treatment for an eating disorder. It served as a physical reminder of what I was trying to face, and also a grounding tool for those particularly tough moments. A few months later I found out that a young relative had been struggling with mental health issues and had been admitted to hospital under suicide watch. I went to visit her and knew what I had to do. I shared my story and struggle with her and gave her my key. I hoped that the key would give her "courage" to get well and be a constant reminder that she is loved.
