I bought my giving key "strength" bracelet at warped tour. I loved the idea of wearing it and waiting for the exact person who needed it. Little did I know I would only get to enjoy it for a day....
I met a friend for coffee and as she shared what was going on in her life, unemployed husband, bedridden father, caregiving mother who was going down hill fast, as well as two teenagers and a full time job as a therapist....I knew she was the one. I subtly slipped it off my wrist and explained the premise behind the bracelet. She accepted with tears rolling down her face she rubbed her fingers across the word...STRENGTH....and said a quiet thanks.
Thank you for such a wonderful selfless idea and allowing me to be a part of spreading some live and kindness in a challenging world.
