A few years ago, I received a key from The Giving Keys that had the word "Believe" pressed on it. It's a key that I wore quite often. It's a key that meant a great deal to me. It reminded me that no matter how hard you worked, the greatest feat to conquer was to believe that you deserved the fruits of your labour. That failure was never a reason to give up, but a reason to try again. That sometimes all you need is a little faith, trust and pixie dust. Believe.
When you get the key, you must give it away at some point to a person you feel needs the message. I recently met an inspiring and effervescent young man that I am now proud to call friend. He now (horrifyingly) knows things about me that many people do not. He is someone I trust. I have passed the key to him and I sincerely hope that he remembers to believe in himself in a way that many others do. Never to settle for second rate attention. Never to settle for good enough. He deserves the fruits of his labour. He just needs to believe it.
