While visiting Beverly Hills with my twin sister, Cindy, I first saw The Giving Keys at Good Clean Fun Entertainment. I was meeting with Kristin Webley who gifted me with a STRENGTH key after meeting with this wonderful group of friends. When asking her why she was wearing a key, she explained to me the meaning behind the symbol which impressed me as I sponsor 41 different organizations back home in Fort Worth.
My journey with my sister has not always been an easy one. We were raised with a mother who chose heroin over her children, putting me in the position of being the mother I've never known. Strength along with perseverance brought me to LA to discuss "The Pawning Planners" based on my business, Texas Twins Events (www.texastwinsevents.com) created for those who can not afford a beautiful wedding, event, or religious ceremony in today's economy. Reaching back to extend your hand to the person behind can give the next person hope in humanity, faith in their future and finally, compassion to help a stranger one day. The legacy of changing the world starts with one idea, one ambition, and one success story. I'm proud to be involved with this unique and diversified way of supporting my community by bringing The Giving Key to Texas.
