I was given a key for COURAGE. I was going through a difficult time in my life and was not handling it well. So when someone gave me this key, it really touched my heart because I received it from someone I consider to be a very courageous person. It was just what I needed to help me deal with things. I felt if she could do it so could I.
My best friend's husband has brain cancer. He has been through surgery, chemo, and radiation. This man has no patience with anything and wanted it gone. He became ill tempered and very sad. I decided he needed my key. So off it went with an explanation of what it represented and how it had helped me see what I was to do. He was so touched. He carries it around in his pocket wherever he goes. He smiles now and really is trying very hard. We don't know what his outcome will be but the key has made a difference in his mindset. He told me knew one has asked about him or calls, but because I reached out he now knew there are people who care. He has a long road, but has told me he plans to pay it forward and has given instructions to his wife should he not make it. I will purchase one for another should I see someone who needs it. Thank you for this beautiful way to show someone you care.
