She Had No Idea How Much This Key Would Truly Mean

I received the STRENGTH key for Christmas, from my best friend. She gave it to me because she feels I've shown so much strength throughout this year. I started 2014 excited to learn I was pregnant for the 1st time. Weeks later my husband and I found out we were having twins. Unfortunately the day we saw our twins for the first time on the ultrasound was also the day we learned that it was likely that they had stopped growing, 2 weeks later I had my first D&C. It's amazing how you instantly fall in love and become a mom the moment you see your babies for the first time, no words can describe how you feel when you lose them. I was called strong by many people following that D&C. I didn't see myself strong at all, I saw myself breaking apart every day.
Three months after my first D&C my husband and I found out I was pregnant for the 2nd time. The weeks following my positive pregnancy test was a roller coaster of emotions, I was watched very closely this pregnancy. I had a scare of a possible ectopic pregnancy and when that was ruled out I still was told the baby might not make it. I then got to have an ultrasound in which I saw my baby's heart beating for the first time, simply magical. I was told this was a good sign but not a guarantee that everything would be okay. A couple weeks later I began miscarrying and had my 2nd D&C.
It's now been 5 months since my last miscarriage and I learned last week that I am pregnant for the 3rd time. When I began 2014 I had no idea I'd find myself pregnant 3 times within 12 months. My best friend gave me my STRENGTH Key for Christmas, exactly a week after I found out I was pregnant again. She had no idea how much this key would truly mean. I was then able to share my exciting/scary/nervous news with her and explain that I would need all the strength I could get to help me through this next pregnancy, with hopefully a happier ending.
