Courage To Break The Chain

I am giving this key to my brother who has struggled with Alcoholism for 15+ years. He was recently sent to jail because he failed to show up for a court appearance on a 3rd and 4th degree DWI. I am praying that he finds the courage to stay sober. He is the most loving kind hearted person I know. He would give you the shirt off his back. This disease has taken over his life and stole the person that I know and love. He has a little boy who desperately needs a dad to step up and be a manly Godly role model. I am giving him this key tomorrow upon his release from jail. Praying that he finds the courage within to break the chains of addiction.

  • Sharon how brave you to say this about your brother. Your love will always help brother. Just knowing you are there and your love will help. From my own experience love is one of the greatest thing a person can give. God so LOVED this world that he gave is only son. I pray for your brother that he turn from drinking and that your love help him to understand that there is more out there for him.

  • You and your brother are in my prayers. I know the feeling of wanting something more than ever. I hope this works for him.

  • Prayers to your brother. It’s very similar to my story. I am giving my key to my fiance’ next week. He will be sober for 6 month in 4 days.
He comes from a long family history of alcoholism, hit rock bottom last September and started rehab in early December. Our life has been turned upside because of his drinking, we’ve had to postpone our wedding until he completes DWI court in December. He’s shown tremendous strength over these past 6 months, praying he can finish strong and we can pick up the pieces of our life. Praying the same strength for your brother.
