Strength Within Her
I got this as a birthday gift for myself last November. I heard about your organization and was very moved by what you do and I wanted to support your endeavor. My senior year of college my mom and I were homeless. Luckily, we had the support of friends and family and were able to couch surf until we got back on our feet. My mom has struggled with alcoholism all her life and on Mother's Day, I decided to pass on my necklace to her engraved with the word strength. I told her about The Giving Keys and that the reason I was giving it to her is not that she needs strength because she's the strongest person I know, but that she needed to be reminded of the strength that she already has within her. She cried and immediately put it on. She is now on day 9 of sobriety and I couldn't be more proud.
