Peace

I had been going through a lot the last few years of my life, so my friend gave me her peace necklace. I loved it and wore it every single day. I really had no intention of passing it on to anybody, because I felt that the right moment would never come.
However, it wasn’t until recently when I met a foreign exchange student at my summer job. He became my best friend and we told each other everything. One day he told me of the problems he faced back home, and how he knows they will continue when he returns. He was so open with me, and I could tell how much these things hurt him. I realized this was the right person to pass on my peace necklace to. He truly needs it, and its a good farewell present.
