My Story
Thank you for the opportunity to share. A key with the word ‘Dream’ on it from the organization ThankyouNZ arrived in the post today. Moving steadily in the direction of my dreams has been daily practice for a few years now as a result of a long term illness.
When we suffer it brings great compassion for others into our heart. After two years and a wave of illnesses it felt like time to write a healing book and help others. The book is based on the idea of a flower called love, that will bloom inside our heart, when we open up to compassion for ourselves and others.
There are six petals in the flower, the job of life being to get curious about each petal. They are Freedom, Forgiveness, Fruitfulness, Fearlessness, Fulfilment, and Faith. Answering the koan of this illness with a healing gift feels like turning lemons into lemonade, as my therapist refers to it.
