Chaz Smith x #BlackoutHomelessness
I want to help blackout homelessness this holiday season because I believe that everyone should feel at home and valued as a human being, no matter what their living situation is. Those without homes are often looked down upon and seen as lesser people, but that shouldn't be so. We are all individuals in need of love and providence. My Matte Black Key Necklace says "BOLD.” Being BOLD is something I’m growing to desire and live out more and more. I want to live boldly when I’m tempted to be complacent. I want to love boldly when it’s so easy for me to hate. I want to laugh boldly when I hear depression knocking on my door. I want to run boldly towards myself and my own desires. I have another Giving Key that says “ENOUGH.” That word is meaningful to me because this year has been a significant time of addressing deep-rooted identity issues that I've carried for years. God has shown and affirmed time and time again that I am ENOUGH in Him and that I don't have to perform at all in any way. I am loved, whole, and perfected in Christ. I plan to pass this key on to the person I am led to in my journey. I bought the key for myself with the notion of giving it to someone else when I am moved to do so. "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Whenever I give from a cheerful heart I immediately feel rewarded, not only in knowing that I was able to bless someone else, but also in knowing that God sees it and no one else has to. I want to encourage others to always seek to lift up those who may be feeling lesser at any given moment; to give them the gift of knowing that there is someone looking out for them and that greatness is near. -Chaz
