7 months ago my father and best friend passed away suddenly. I was in a fairly new city and my closest friends were 6+ hours away. My newest friend in my new city rushed over to be with me after only knowing me a few short months. My friends in my hometown, 6+ hours away, immediately got in the car and rushed to be with me and stayed by my side until I was able to be alone. My 2 sorority sisters then flew in to be with me and help me begin the tough task of packing and moving. Each one of them helped me in different ways.
They helped me to breathe and just function in the immediate aftermath. They showed me unconditional love, as I am now without any real family. They were brave for me and helped me to have strength in the toughest time of my life. They helped me to have hope and believe that I could survive this horrible tragedy. Without them I can't say what would have happened to me.
I have searched for the perfect way to show my gratitude and The Giving Key is it. I can never repay any of them for the love and kindness they have shown me, but this is a good way to start.
