Almost a year ago, I met my boyfriend.
I bought him the necklace because I believe he needed a small reminder that no matter what, on and off the football field, he is strong enough to get through whatever mental block he is going through.
Fast-forward: He broke his neck and that is when I really saw how much the necklace meant to him. Providing a constant reminder that one day he'll get better (which he is!), he wore it every day until it was lost, which he's still upset about.
