The wonderful team of leaders that I work with at Blue Cross and Blue Shield gifted me with my FAITH key as a retirement present after 38 years of service. It touched my heart to know that they were able to see Christ in me and knew how much the FAITH key would mean to me.
As a breast cancer survivor and having undergone spine surgery and knee replacement surgery in recent years, I have grown to trust God and lean upon Him when life is out of my control. Praise God! He has brought me through all the storms in life.
I am now giving my FAITH key to my dear friend and co-worker, Casey. Casey has battled and overcome colon cancer. She is such a beautiful, courageous person and I love her spirit of giving to others. She raises money every year and participates in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.
Casey recently received PET scan results that indicate she may need to do battle with cancer again. I want her to wear her FAITH key proudly and to lean on our heavenly Father who goes through all the storms of life right by our side.
Casey will be a grandmother for the first time in a couple of months, and my prayer is that God will heal her from all cancer so that she can see her grandbaby grow up. I have FAITH that God can heal her, and I know He has a purpose for each of us.
