In December, I received the Inspire Giving Key bracelet. A friend came to my work, sat down and began telling me the story of The Giving Keys. I am a 39-year-old married mom of three. Over the last year, I battled triple negative breast cancer. I tried to be as transparent as possible with my journey by way of a personal blog, and I had tremendous support from my community and beyond as I battled and chronicled my ups and downs. As of August 10, I am cancer free and rebuilding my life.
As my life was looking up, a friend's life was falling apart. She was looking forward to a new baby and tragically at the end of October, her world came crashing down when she delivered her stillborn baby girl, Harper Layce. She has taken that tragedy and has spoken out about pregnancy and infant loss. She has inspired me and many others with her vulnerability and courage. Today I gave my Inspire Giving Key to Brittany.
