My Story
I got my first Giving Key for my 24th birthday- more than 4 years ago. Inscribed on it was my favorite word, ‘Dream’. I always loved the hopefulness and possibility of that word. It was a great reminder for myself to be hopeful about the future. A few weeks ago, I was talking with a friend who feels stuck in her life.
She isn’t sure what her next steps are or why she’s here on Earth. She feels like the dreams she once had for her life aren’t panning out and that others (like me) are actually living them instead of her. I was going to write her an encouraging card to lift her spirits, and when I went to do so, something on the inside of me said, “Give her your key.”
I placed the key in the envelope and slid it on her desk. She texted me to share how meaningful that was for her and that it was the little glimmer of hope that she needed to move forward. I’m thankful for the opportunity to share with her the encouragement that this necklace gave me.
