On September 13th, 2013, a Friday, my beautiful granddaughter was born into this world. For certain reasons, when she was 4 months old, we obtained full custody of her.
Fast forward ahead to March 21st of 2015. Me and my husband were on our anniversary trip and Shaylin was staying at my mother-in-law's and father-in-law's house. Me and my husband just weren't having a good time for some reason. The weekend felt off, we were bored, couldn't really find anything fun to do, the weather was gloomy, the water brown, the wind bad. We decided that we would just go back home. On the way home, we received a phone call from my husband's brother that the baby had drowned in a goldfish pond. She was 18 months old.
I have never suffered such great loss. My husband had lost his first wife on the eldest daughter's birthday when she was 11 and then lost his youngest daughter when she was 15 and then this. He has been through so much and my heart breaks for him.
I was given this key by a friend who lost her son. I have had this key since 2015. I am now ready to pass it on to my step-mother who just recently lost my brother at 27 years old.
