A dear friend gifted me the key Brave.
As soon as she told me how Giving Keys work, I knew who would be receiving my key.
I wore "Brave" for a month and with each poke of the chest, I was reminded of my friend who has been Brave and will need to continue to summon her braveness in the weeks and months to come.
"G" has been raising her 3-year old son on her own as she has been separated from her husband who is dealing with substance abuse issues and other health problems that have lead him down a troubling path... a far cry from the amazing, caring and fun-loving man that she married years ago.
G's is an incredible mother to her son but the path ahead of her is not easy. Nor has the past been easy as she has battled a long journey of health problems and chronic pain. When I think of brave people in my life - she easily rises to top.
