My Story
I received a giving keys necklace from my husband a few years ago when we stumbled upon them displayed at a local boutique. We absolutely loved the mission of this company and felt an even stronger connection, as our son worked at Project Home, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness and poverty in Philadelphia.
Fast forward about two years and one of my co-workers shared with me that she is anxiously awaiting acceptance of an offer to purchase a home in Philadelphia…and she is the first member of her family to own a home. Sadly, one of her parents is currently homeless.
I’m giving my co-worker my giving key as a symbol of breaking the cycle of housing insecurity for her family. I am certain that with all of her hard work, she and her daughter can finally enjoy this new normal of being a family that has a safe and loving house to come home to every day!
