Resilient and Powerful

When I think of how I want to ROAR, I would love to first make an impact on my own children. Both my daughters and sons. I truly believe it starts in the home. My goal remains to raise Feminist sons and daughters. To raise good humans who will lead with love. My mother has been one of my main inspirations. She has always raised my sister and I to have a forgiving and loving heart. To continue to be examples as WOC (Women of Color) and Christians. Something that has driven my success would be the true belief that no is never an option. That there’s always another option instead of giving up or giving in. This quote comes to mind, “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” -Maya Angelou To other young women, I would advise this: remain resilient and powerful. Choose you over and over again. Choose what feels right and not forced- whether that’s a career, relationship, or truly any decision.
