My Story

Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was not the first time I heard those awful words. I had been diagnosed five years prior. This time we caught it even earlier which was good, but it was in the same spot which meant that I was going to have to take more drastic measures than last time.

So away I went with a double mastectomy and reconstruction. There are so many life changing decisions that come with cancer and they come fast. My husband's cousin sent me this bracelet and I wore it through my recovery period. I try to remember that no matter what I decide, I have been brave. I am making the best decisions I can through all of this.
