My niece and I are very close. I found out I had breast cancer on her 25th birthday. It was so hard to tell her. She then had to take my dad, her grandfather, to his appointment less than a month later to get his biopsy results. They found out he, too, had cancer.
This past Christmas my she gave me a key with Strength on it. I was half way through my chemo treatments when she gave it to me. She wanted to give me some strength while I finished up my treatment. I had a successful end to my treatment thankfully. I am so grateful for the strength she gave me to get through a difficult time in my life.
