The Strength We Needed

My daughter gave me a Strength Key two years ago. My son became addicted to heroin. He stole from us, lied to us and hurt us deeply. She gave me the key because she said I showed strength but also needed strength in this situation. My son overdosed on heroin, but I happened to find him in time. He was administered Narcan and he survived. He got into a program for rehab so I gave him my key because, after saving his life, I had become stronger. Now he needed strength. Flash to the present - he has now clean for fourteen months. He has passed the key to another recovering addict so they can gain strength.
