My best friend gave me this key when I was going through major transitions in my life, encouraging me to let go and trust that everything will be okay. And, guess what? Three years later, everything is better than okay!
Now it's my turn to pass my key along to someone I adore who is going through major life transitions. I'm passing my key along to Jordan Daniels (@johodaniels on Instagram). He was a student of mine at Long Beach State University, where I am a professor of public relations. And as I got to know him, I became so inspired by him. He founded the #ThisIsMe project (@ThisIsMeProj on Instagram), encouraging people to embrace their flaws. He is also an LGBTQ and Body Positivity advocate, #slaying the world with his self love.
In January 2018, his father passed away after a long health battle that was physically and emotionally taxing on both Jordan and his mom. In this, he made the decision to move back to San Diego to be with his family, temporarily putting his career ambitions on hold.
I'm giving Jordan this key as a reminder to "Let Go" because the Universe is supporting and loving him through all these changes. I know Jordan has an incredible and inspirational life ahead of him that can be kind of hard to see right now - just like me a few years back. So I hope this key will help him through the challenging times and into the light!! xo
