My Story

I received my key a few years ago when I was in the Anne Douglas Center which is a rehabilitation program for women in Downtown Los Angeles. At the time, I didnt think much of it but I've recently come across the key twice within the last month or so.

Today I came across it and the first sentence really caught my attention. "Embrace your word." This means a lot to me because I promised myself, loved ones, and God that I'd go to school to study medicine so I could be a pediatrician. I decided I want to work in the NICU.

So when I read that sentence, that's what came to mind. Today I am choosing to pay it forward and give it to my little sister. She wanted to be a Veterinarian when she was younger. Hey, two doctors lol. Maybe the key will someday inspire her to follow her dreams again too. Thank you for reading my story.
