Use Your Strength To Help Others

The strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us, but those who win battles we know nothing about.

My friend has recently graduated with her Master’s Degree in school counseling. She has worked hard throughout her journey to finally realize her true passion in life. There are so many battles that my friend has conquered, and is still conquering, but she shows up to work every day with a smile on her face. She might not feel strong every day, but she will always be strong for other people. She puts her friends and family first and will be a rock for them, no matter what.

I gave my friend this key as a reminder to stay strong. To realize that strength doesn’t come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t.

Karra, I know you just recently entered the field of school counseling, but you have already helped so many people throughout your journey. We have only been friends for a few months, but you have taught me so much about being a strong individual and standing up for what you feel is right. You have reminded me to stay strong for my students and for myself, but also that it’s okay to break down every now and then if you have a good support system.

Believe in yourself. You are going to make a great school counselor and you will continue to change the lives of the many students you come in contact with. Wear this key as your reminder that your strength is what has gotten you to this point of being able to help others. Don’t ever stop believing in your abilities to make a difference.

Happy Graduation! I’m so glad we got to work together this year, and I’m so very proud to call you my friend.

Don’t lose that inner strength that has allowed you to overcome obstacles, but use that strength to help others. Do not be afraid. There is no one more prepared to work with students in the counseling setting than you. Be Confident. Be Strong.

I can’t wait to see what a difference you will make!
