My mom raised me to be strong, independent, and compassionate. Much of the person I am today, I owe to her. I had a key with the word "strength" on it.
I was in a very bad car accident a little over a year ago and it has been a difficult road as I still work hard to recover. My key would remind me to work hard, stay focused, and positive.
A little while ago my mother became very sick and I just knew that it was the right time for me to pass my key along. I gave it to her for her birthday and it brought tears to her eyes. She truly treasures her key and I know she will pass it on when the time is right.
