I had only had my Courage necklace for 2 months ... I came home one day and my roommate told me he had just found out that he was HIV positive. Before I knew it, I reached around my neck, took off my necklace and put it around his neck.
We sat there for what seemed like forever, no words were needed.
The necklace was given to me by someone I care about deeply, it helped me feel so much better at a time when I was losing all hope. By giving him my necklace, I hope that I could do the same for him.
