I met Lacy three years ago when we were both new to town. We became close friends in the way that you do when you have "spirited" toddlers and are expecting new babies at the same time. We did playgroups together and we did play dates and we did moms nights out and we did coffee and the zoo and meals together and moral-support texts during meltdowns and lead together at MOPS. And now she moved to Hawaii.
I'm giving Lacy my courage key because she has the courage to be a wife, a mom, a community leader and organizer wherever she is. Because being a 12-hour flight from home takes courage. Because living on the most remote island chain with preschool-age kids takes courage. Because going where God leads her takes courage.
