I first heard of The Giving Keys when YouTubers Joey Graceffa and Catrific mentioned the company and their concept briefly in one of their videos. Being a college student preparing to head home for the holidays, I backlogged the idea as a possible Christmas gift to many friends. Little did I know, that idea would mean a whole lot more later that month.
Before I left to go back to school, my mother got a phone call from her doctor, and was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. I placed the order that night and I presented her with the small gold key that had the word STRENGTH engraved on it the night before her first surgery. She wore it to the surgery and to every single doctor's appointment and chemotherapy session afterwards. It's been well over ten months now and I'm glad to say she's a survivor. It's been a long journey, but she made it and she's still going strong.
