I received a COURAGE key when registering for my MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) International membership for the 2014-2015 year, and after a couple of months considering who it should go to, I knew that it should be for my friend Linda.
Linda is a grandmother who retired early Fall of 2014 to help care for her 2 young grandkids after they lost their much too young mom (my friend, Anna, only 33) to cancer just a few months ago. Anna's beloved husband is in the midst of his medical residency which makes for long, crazy and all over the board hours. And in the middle of all of this, he mourns the loss of his best friend and mother of his children.
Linda loved her daughter-in-law so well during her fight with cancer, and now has chosen to be courageous and support her son as best as she can by loving her grandkids. The whole family looks to Jesus as their help and source of courage. God bless them all in the coming years.
