This Gave Me A Reason To Run

I've never been a runner...I never knew I could run until I had a reason...a friend from high school started posting on social media about her little boy who was suffering from cancer...they were spending most of their time at St. Judes Children's Research hospital in Memphis TN... This gave me a reason to run...I told a friend I was thinking about doing the St. Judes half marathon...she didn't even hesitate to say I will do it with you!! talk about a good friend...she had to deal with me the first time I ran one mile, ten miles and all of the others in between ...not only did she motivate and support me she was the voice inside my head that said you can do this...for the first time I believed in myself and knew I could do this...on December 6th in Memphis TN we did it...we ran 13.1...that day the only word I could think of was GRATEFUL....I gave my best friend, cheerleader and coach a giving key that had GRATEFUL engraved...Be Great and Full everyday...I Certainly am...peace and love
