So....my very dear friend Tracey....this is about her. We met in 2008 in graduate school. On the very first day of orientation we both knew that we would be friends. She is an amazing person - soooo smart! She is an occupational therapist and also has a masters in public health. She is the mother of 2 amazing girls, Claire and Anna - and a wife and partner to Kent. She is also a precious daughter - and that is why I am writing this piece. I went with Tracey to her hometown of Chicago in 2012. I visited with her mom and dad and met her sister and 2 brothers - what a beautiful family! This past January her mom, Mary, passed away. I hurt so much in my heart for Tracey and was clueless as to what I could do for her. I happened to be in a store that sold "The Giving Keys" - it just seemed like the right gift for Tracey. I know she holds irreplaceable memories of her Mom and I hope that this key reminds her of those scenes and memories always.
