Time to Pass it On
Time to pass it on....my husband Pete had cancer back in 1988 when he was only 25 years old and again had a relapse at the age of 30. He went through chemo and radiation and with having 4 young children at the time, he fought to survive and he did!! He was once again diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer in August of 2012. He wasn't quite 50 yet and in March of 2014, they removed his bladder, prostate and urethra. At this time, my husband's sister Marge, a sister and friend, came to the hospital and gave me a gift. It was an INSPIRE key bracelet....I was so touched and moved by her kindness!!! I wore it often and knew that one day I would pass it on!! This very morning, my thoughts and prayers were with my co-worker and friend Connie who has been so sad this past month. She lost her precious mom suddenly to a massive heart attack. The two of them had a beautiful and close relationship. I knew today was the day to pass my INSPIRE key on to her!! I found her at work in a quiet room, and I told her I have something for you. With tears and hugs I passed it on to her...and was reminded how beautiful and precious friends can be when we come along side one another!! My heart aches for her, but at lunch when I saw her wear the The Giving Keys INSPIRE bracelet, I knew that women were made to love and care for one another in this way!!!
