The Road of Life

 I recently purchased the “Travel” Giving Key as a Christmas gift for one of my girlfriends. I decided to give her a key that had the word “Travel” engraved on it because that is one of my greatest wishes for her. I am a huge traveler and often find it difficult to express why I love traveling so much. Yes, it is nice to just get away and vacation, but I truly feel that traveling around the world has helped shaped me into the person that I am today. Through experiencing different cultures and lifestyles, one can open their eyes and view other horizons and possibilities. It’s not always fun and relaxing, but the experiences are well worth it. Through my travels I have come to the realization that I am truly blessed and grateful for all that I have in my life and that there is so much more out there that I can achieve. The word “Travel” not only means to go to another destination, but also to travel down different paths in your life. I feel that right now in both my girlfriends and my own life, we are just beginning a journey to our future and I wish nothing more than for her to travel the road that has yet to be paved. Like many people, we both have questions like “What should I do with my life?” or “Where should I work or study?” I want her to know that whatever she wants is attainable and to not fear traveling or experiencing the unknown.
