I think in our twenties and thirties we all struggle to find our way, seek new opportunities, gain confidence, and figure out who we want to be when we “grow up”. A good friend of mine has been struggling with making the most of opportunities that fell through and finding her way. I gave her a key with the word compass as a reminder that she’ll find her way in time, and I am there for her along the way. The key is also meant to be a thank you and reminder that she has been my compass on my own journey the last three years that has faced boyfriends and job changes, and also overcome scary words like cancer and divorce. I am thankful she has acted as my compass and I hope she always knows I will be hers. That is what friends are for.
