My husband and I are high school sweethearts that met in our high school youth group. After dating long distance for nearly 7 years through high school and college, we finally got married. We wanted to enjoy being married and living together for a few years before starting our family. Four years into our marriage we decided to start trying to have a baby. Never would we have imagined that it would be such a challenge. After a year & a half of trying, fertility testing and medications we were discouraged to say the least. While at a baby shower for a friend, my childhood best friend pulled me aside and said that she had something for me. It was then that she took out a giving key that had been passed to her. She tearfully explained that she was given this key when she was struggling to get pregnant and hoped that it would uplift me the way that it did for her. I looked at this little key with the word "FAITH" inscribed in it and began to sob. One month later, I was pregnant with my little girl. She is now 6 months old and I will always remember the message to keep the faith that was passed to me on that simple necklace.
