With Mother's Day having come, I wanted to get my mom something unique and meaningful. I was tempted to go to the nearest Hallmark Store and pick up the ever-so-popular "Mom" bangle. After remembering this company, I decided I wasn't going to hop on the trendy bandwagon. My mom deserves better than that.
Growing up, my mother always taught me that in times of desperation, sorrow, or even on days of just normalcy, always remind yourself of what you are grateful for in your life. With this reminder, whether it be of loved ones that adore you, or even of just the simple fact that you have a place to live, it will keep you grounded and appreciative for life and all the little things that make it amazing.
For Mother's Day, I purchased a silver bangle with the word GRATEFUL inscribed on it for my mom. I am grateful that growing up, my mother never sugar coated anything. She was an avid listener, supporter, and encouraged me in every little thing I did. She let me live my own life and make my own decisions, all with her head up high and strong. She raised me to be a woman that never gives up, appreciates those around her, and does it all with a humble smile on her face. She is my best friend. And for that, I can say that I am forever GRATEFUL for her.
