You Belong
My entire church for the past few weeks had been preaching sermons against homosexuality. So I reached out to my pastor. We sat down, ate, and I expected him to lay it on me. "Being gay is wrong. Change." But what he did was different. As I told him my life story and watched the necklace hanging around his neck, afterwords, he said, "you are so loved by Jesus, no matter what your orientation is, and I know the church can be unloving and I pray that you will just stick with us through that because you belong at our church." And then he gave me a key that said, "BELONG", and he told me about this website, and I cried.
