As of this weekend, I had never heard of the Giving Keys...my son and his beautiful wife gave me mine for my birthday! I received my Giving Key with the word FAITH... boy, have I struggled with this for quite a while!!! I believe in God and I know he will take care of what is ahead of me, my family and my friends. I am so blessed with a beautiful family but I have struggled since I lost my Daddy in 2011. He was an amazing man and he taught us to work hard, love our family, be good to others and have faith in GOD! We had 3 of the most amazing weeks with him before he passed away. He sat with each of his family members and friends and told us all that he would soon be leaving and hoped to see us all again in Heaven. He had such a wonderful story for each of us that only applied to that certain individual and when he completed his mission, he slowly slipped away. I am not sad that he is in a better place and he looked so forward to going, I'm sad because he was always there when I needed him most. Lately, I could have used one of his big beautiful smiles and big bear hug...
I have been in a profession for 36 years and the business has changed companies. I have a friend who has traveled 35 of these years along beside me and she is my Best Friend. This has not been an easy transition, but my heart breaks for her because she, unfortunately, has the hardest battle ahead. I will be giving my key to my best friend first thing in the morning and together we will have FAITH!
