Along came a patient of mine that just spoke to my heart. She was a collegiate soccer athlete that unfortunately had to leave the game due to several concussions. She came to our Center just looking for help. Little did I know, I would instantly connect with her personality. She was being treated for two weeks and during the second week she brought in her dog. Her dog, Bubbles, is her world. Bubbles brings a level of security, trust and love that very few humans can provide unconditionally. In a world that is chaotic and unstable for her, Bubbles creates peace and order.
The day before her exit examination, I told my patient briefly about my struggles with letting go and breathing. I explained to her the process of the Giving Keys and told her that it was her time to "BREATHE". She received the key and the rest is history.
